Valvoline MaxLife

I was surprised to read the service report after I got home from a Valvoline oil change: they had used MaxLife 0w-20 which seems to be for cars with over 75,000 miles, certainly not mine.
Any concerns?

If anything, I suspect it includes some additives to help seal the piston rings from blow by.

No, as long as it was 0W20. Oil change places seem to be in the habit of doing what they want so it's worthwhile keeping this in mind for future and making sure upfront that there is a clear understanding of what they will be putting in your car.

High mileage engine oils contain an additive to soften and swell gaskets and rubber seals. You will probably suffer no harm, but as @woof suggested, I'd be clear on things when I returned for the next change, or I'd try another shop next time and ask what they use.
