Temp selector knob repair help
Temp selector knob repair help
Hello,
this is the second time this has happened. A year ago after the dealer replaced my start button the temp knob would not turn all the way to warm and made it so the aircon would not get max cold. They fixed it but it just happened again. Any links to others with the problem and how to fix would be appreciated.
thanks

Finally!
Ok. I don’t have a video, but if you follow the cable shown in the video that is posted by I think baseguitarist linked in an above post (thank you so much for that) down to where it is attached. Below this, I will call it an arm, there is a philips screw. I loosened this and adjusted it so that the knob would hit both hot and cold sides then tightened it and it seems to be working now. Of course this was after removing all trim and the stereo thinking the problem was at the actual knob. Just glad I don’t have to go to the dealer for it. Thanks for the link. It was the catalyst that made it happen.
Thanks
Thanks
Unfortunately Honda is refusing to accept responsibility for their bad design and your only fix is to purchase an overpriced replacement part that may fail again.
Any dealer claiming to fix it is lying and has only managed to jiggle things to let it align again for a short while. It will fail again until replaced.
Thanks Tom,
So mine has gotten off the gear thing under the dash where the cable attaches. Are you saying this keeps happening because of this part or is this a different problem?
