Hello all - I'm a new member and I have a 2019 Fit that I want to haul two bikes. I'm wondering what the best bike rack is for this generation Fit, in particular which would be the best hitch to put on the back given the Fit's low ground clearance. I'm told that the Hiddenhitch is the best but I'm wondering if there are other brands that sit as high or have just as good clearance. Also; is this whole idea of being on a hill and scraping the bottom of the hitch kind of a myth? Do ppl have 2015+ Honda Fits with normal run-of-mill hitches and do you scrape on steep hills? What are people's experience with say a trunk-mounted rack like the Saris? Do the bikes sway and hit the bumper? Thanks for all!
Running a Rockymounts 2-Bike Monorail on mine using a Draw-Tite hitch. I haven't had any issues with scraping and haven't seen any reports on here about a hitch scraping. The only problem with hitch installs is that you have to bend the exhaust hanger on the muffler otherwise it will create one hell of a racket.
2015 manual. As to clearance, given how close the hitch is to the rear wheels compared to a vehicle with a trunk I doubt you could find anything for it to scrap on unless you plan on going off-roading.
I run this draw tite hitch on my 2018 Sport, it's pretty great (minus the aforementioned muffler rubbing one of the bolts, but you can fix that with bending the hanger or getting a slightly longer exhaust hanger isolater). I have a 1.25 inch Saris Superclamp EX2 which works very well.
In terms of clearance I've never had issues with it scraping, even while driving some rather hilariously steep roads to access mtb trails. So I'd say unless you're properly off-roading your Fit regularly (and if you are, godspeed) you should be fine with any hitch.
Here's a few pictures for reference of the Draw Tite and my Saris installed.

Hi thanks for the info but I’m wondering why the Class I Draw Tite and the Monorail that takes a class II? E trailer told me that there is a stop mechanism for the Class I draw tite.
There is no sort of stop mechanism on mine. Draw-Tite 24920 is the model I ordered. The max insertion distance is either 6 1/4" or 5 1/4" until it hits the u-bolt holding it to the tow hook. Total insertion depth for the Monorail rack is about 3 5/8".
The Rockmounts Two bike monorail 1.25" does say in its specs that it is only for class 2 hitches (Not sure if that was listed as a spec when I got mine), but almost every Rockmounts every hitch rack carries that warning. Comparable 2-bike racks in terms tongue weight like the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike 1.25inch (50 lb rack with 60 lb per tray) are rated for class 1. The only thing Thule specifies is that the center of the through bolt on a Class 1 hitch must be 1.5" or further from the end (the Draw-Tite is 2 inches).
Max I've loaded up the rack was 70 lbs with 2 x 35lb MTBs (Devinci Marshall XL and Ibis Ripmo AF XL). I've done a 900 mile trip with 2 bikes on it weighing 60lbs (Jamis D29 race and Devinci Marshall XL). The only problems are there is rack sway like there is with any 1.25" bike rack I know of and through bolt mounting the rack to the hitch came loose at one point (a generous application of lock-tite fixed that).
EDIT; For reference I've had this combo on my Fit since early August 2020.
