Hi Folks,
Will a standard 30" gas stove fit in a 2015 Fit? I'm hoping to pick such a gas stove up but it's far away. I don't want to go pick it up to discover it won't fit.
Thanks for any tips!
You presumably own a 2015 Fit and know the specific model of stove that you're shopping for, suggesting that you're in a better position than any of us to determine its dimensions.
Add a measuring tape to the equation and you will have the answer to your question.

Thanks Drew, I did measure but a Fit is not a tidy perfectly rectangular box and neither is a stove. I don't yet know which 30" stove I'll be purchasing. I want to be prepared when I do find a potential second hand candidate.
I would feel better knowing that someone has done this successfully, fully understanding that it may not work but... is a possibility.
Looking forward to hear if anyone has done this.
Cheers.
I'm going to guess yes. I fit a cot bedspring set in it (72"?) and could not believe it. Pass seat forward and bed sideways. You'll have to hump it over the lip.
The constraint is going to be the hatch opening, which is shaped like a rounded off square. I measured my wife's '20 Fit and our 30 inch stove. Our stove is 30 inches wide and about 26 inches deep not counting the handle to open the stove. The hatch opening on the Fit looks like it could just handle getting a 30 inch wide by 30 inch tall object in. If you can tilt the stove on its side or back to load it, it should go in OK. You may scrape up the hatch opening because man-handling a heavy stove in there won't be easy. So, bring extra blankets to protect it if desired. Our stove is about 46 inches tall and the Fit has at least 50 inches of length on the load floor, so that should work too (you might have to adjust the recline your seats to be straight up). Also, bring some tools in case you have to remove a handle or some other oddball part. You might also be able to remove the stove door if you have too.
Thanks a million @Ultrawolf for the detailed analysis. This is extremely helpful and gives me the confidence it'll likely work. I will keep in mind the tip of possible door removal, and bring tools along. Back to the search for our second-hand stove... minus the worry regarding transportation
Once again, THANKS!

i just measured the hatch opening in mine , i'd say there would be no problem . possibly the door handle on the stove could be a problem , bring some tools , but most likely
the whole thing will go in . the hatch opening is quite tall , just under 30 inches
Thanks for your comments, korgster. I also have an '09 Fit that I bought new and have hauled a lot of odd items. For loading a heavy stove, you might want to lay the stove on a heavy blanket or strong tarp, then lift the corners of the blanket to lift the stove. It might be easier than trying to find something to grip on the stove. Having the blanket to lift by might make getting it out of the Fit again easier too.
Thanks @Ultrawolf ! We did it tonight LOL... We loaded it up using the "standard" method, no blankets, as I saw your msg after the mission was accomplished. Regardless, I much appreciated you taking the time to propose this.
There was some room to spare. Gotta love it! As I always say "Everything fits in the Fit" LOL.
Nice. Looks like there was plenty of space. Here's a pic of the contents from my mother's living space at a nursing home. I know it's impossible to visualize without being there for context , but it's astonishing everything fit and that was with sloppy organization.
Agree. I'm hoping it'll be reintroduced by the time we need a new one. We take good care of our cars and don't replace them before they're 10-15 years old.
