Recently I picked up a set of tail lights for my GK5.
The lights are from a J Spec Honda Fit Hybrid and have the upper illuminated sections.
I'd like to wire them to my license plate bulbs, but have ran into a bit of an issue.
The honda lights have two wires, one black and one blue.
I'd just like to know which is positive and which is negative.

And in related news, my Fit doesn't have the grommet to pass thru the pillar light wiring.
Gonna have to get it drilled out, as I don't own such a device.

I'm guessing the Mexican built Fits don't have the grommet, as some folks don't have to have theirs drilled.

 

I had to drill mine also.

 

Any tips on doing this job?
My GF seems to think I should attempt this on my own.

 

Use a step bit. Go one step at a time until you get to the correct size for the grommet to fit. Use some touch-up around the edge of the hole so it doesn't rust.
