anyone have pics of your fit with non stock size tires

My original Fit sport was the 16 inch 185 55 16 - they felt good on a smooth road, but felt really bad on the average Canadian roads...so I switched to the 185 60 15, these are clearly better feeling tires for general driving, perhaps not for Sport driving. But I don't really drive in a sporty way very often. Makes me think I should have 175 65 15s as they might feel a little more nimble as they're a bit narrower...give better gas mileage, less noise and have a higher sidewall for more comfort. For that reason, I would even consider 175 70 14 or 185 65 14 - has anyone dared to go in this route?

I also put 175 65 14 in the list as that's what was on my original FIT and I believe they made the original FIT feel like a classic small Honda. I think this feel is lost in our current gen...but the current gen is quieter and better in many regards, but it just lacks that certain magic. Smaller tires accelerate easier and make the car feel like a small Honda...at least, that's what I'm thinking.

The ones I'm most interested to see pics of are :
185 65 15 - slightly higher sidewall seems to me just about perfect for this fit (theoretically)
185 65 14
175 65 15
175 70 14
175 65 14
195 55 15

-15 inch wheels from an Acura EL
-Tires are 185/65/15
-Honda HFP suspension kit
Ride quality was vastly improved (opposed to the stock 16's).
I considered 14's but there aren't many tires (performance/all season) offered in that size anymore.
At least with 15's there's more options.

Those wheels look good! Do you remember what is the width and ET of those? I have been looking for 15" wheels to replace the original 16"s, but haven't found anything that I would like. I may need to start hunting just those Acura wheels.

Thanks! Those pics aren't that good as the hyperdip wasn't applied correctly. I've since resprayed them for a more uniform look.
According to this site, the wheels are a 15x6 with a 43-47 offset with no spacers/hub rings required https://www.wheel-size.com/size/acura/el/2001/
I picked my set up for about $350 with some decent Michelin tires in Dec 2020.
A good deal, as many don't realize such an old wheel from Honda/Acura fits the much newer Fit

did you consider 14s because you wanted a higher sidewall for ride comfort?

Sounds good! I need to start looking ebay! Although I'd prefer 15x5.5, but you cannot get everything.

Honda Factory Performance Kit was installed.
Lowers it by 10mm

Yes, but like I said above, even if I found a set of wheels, finding decent tires that could handle some spirited driving would be an issue.
And the 14's aren't as good as the 15's for performance (handling).

So overall, the 15's (to me) are the perfect compromise.

I agree, especially when you are trying to keep your upgrade costs as reasonable as possible.
I Initially wanted a set of Ray's wheels for their light weight and strength, but the cost would have easily been unreasonable.
With the Acura wheels, I didn't have to add spacers (or even buy tires!) so it was the most reasonable option.

As for the black paint, I did that about 2 years ago and they still look great!

I have also been looking Ray's because of the weigth and looks, but the price is way too much.

Spacers are not allowed here, so suitable ET is necessary.
