Push start 2015 clicks once no start

I have the dreaded 2015. I’ve already taken the push start for the swap at Honda maybe two years ago. And the light for the key doesn’t come on when I do this. 118k on it

so basically I just get in the car, put the foot on the brake, push the button and everything comes on, I get one little click and then nothin. It doesn’t start the engine. I do it again and bam, it comes on. I thought it was the battery but when I took it to get checked the battery, starter and alternator checked out fine so I’m stumped. I’ve tried with the second key I never use and still nothing.

Anyone else have this?

generalizations here but....one little click means the starter is getting power, thats what i was getting also, also it WOULD start 2nd or once third start. i replaced starter and tightened battery clamps 2 weekends ago, and it seems fine now
BUT i am manual key start with 53kkms.only

if i was you i would check the battery connections tight and good,if they are, replace starter.

PROBABLY its the internal soleniod in the starter, it takes a couple of throws into place before it makes a solid connection, thats why the starter could "test" fine.

Click, Click, Click and no issue with the battery, most likely starter. And the 2015 does have a history with the OEM starter that comes along with the Fit.

I agree with the starter. I have the 2015 and when it did a small click it doesn't turn on the engine. I would try maybe 3 or 4 times before the car would start. Eventually, I took it in and they replaced my starter. It worked fine ever since.

Yes me too.

Pls let me explain summary ASAP i can.

My car 2015 Honda Fit G3 - After I changed key fob battary low to new one it won't start at once when press Start Engine but in second press ok . It was all the times almost 3 weeks.

Noted: i have an Idle stop / start A circle symbol it was showing dashboard very very occasion but it won't work this function since when i bought it.

No.1- What i did and Checked are - Starter Moter, Main Battary , Fuses in Fuses box , (reset already Motor rotor gear position sensor in gearbox) ,Behind Engine Start/stop button circuit, and another fuses under Steering that all are good conditions.

No. 2- What i did and Checked are- I tried with 3 varies of Diagnotic scan tools, Showing nothing fault error. But i tried with last scan tools it was showing Error code is
" temporay : B32A0 13 An open EDLC module power circuit". So i go and check EDLC where situated place , i check with Multimeter tool, it was showing 10.11 Volts (original volts is 16V).

For about function of EDLC it is showing under Hood with sticker i saw it that EDLC related parts " Starter Motor, contactor, BBC unit" even if you remove the 12V battery. # When working on EDLC moudule- related parts, use the EDLC module, Disconnect the negative terminal before starting work. Please check the service manual when working.

Need to check all cable wiring connectors with EDLC , right?

Noted: i have an Idle stop / start A circle symbol it was showing dashboard very very occasion and won't work this function . After changed key fob battary it was showing all the times (Idle stop/ Start A circle symbol) Twice press Engine Start/stop button. When it''s not showing at the time the Engine is directly start at once.

Our country have no Honda dealer support company .

Pls help and any suggetions from you. Thanks !

Push Start Issue.

Go to your local Honda Dealer to get this fixed for Free. That's right. This repair is free due to a recall of this Push Start button issue.

Get it fixed immediately.

It takes 2 presses to start your car now.
But it will eventually take 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, presses to get your car started.

Mine started clicking again. Already replaced starter few years back. Is it a battery issue? Got some charging error once in a while.

Honda fixed once for me free. Eventually ended up replacing starter. Will they fix it again free under warranty? Can i check battery connections at outside short before taking to Honda shop?

Start Button vs. Starter.

I had my start button replaced for free under the recall.

I had to replace my starter at my own expense.

I bought my refurbished starter through Amazon for only 75 dollars.

The company that I bought my starter through Amazon is from DB Electrical.

Starter works great. Starts every time on the first start.

Either go through Amazon or contact DB Electrical directly.

Google DB Electrical for their contact information.

Hi,
I can buy starter and get it replaced at some local shop. Honda probably ask for $500 for whole thing. Did Honda issued recall notice for starters? I already replaced once. Looks like it is giving up again.
Do you have a link to starter from amazon? I will take it Honda if they can replace start/stop button again under warranty.

Thanks for the information. I am also getting check charging system error. Does it mean it is a battery issue or it is a alternator issue (not the starter)?

Thanks

Could be a battery issue.

Have your battery checked out at your local Autozone for free.

As far as the push button start issue,

Go to your local Honda Dealer to get it fixed for Free because of the recall.

As for my DB Electrical starter,
it works great. My 2015 EX stick starts right up.
