I just recently replaced the alternator on my fiancee's 2017 Fit. I ended up buying a used alternator from LKQ with a warranty because buying a new one was just outrageously expensive. But there was no core charge or anything with LKQ, so now I've got a spare unobtanium alternator hanging around. Is there a kit available or a standard procedure to rebuild these? Or someone who wants to buy it? Not really expecting to make a gigantic amount of money, but it seems ridiculous to throw away a $250+ alternator when all it probably needs is a new rectifier/regulator assembly and maybe brushes and bearings.
