Rev Hang!!! What are some mods?

Been eyeing up Fits for years… Just got a good deal on a low milage 2015 EX (Canada Spec) 6MT.

Only problem I have with it is how the throttle hangs for way too long during “spirited” driving.

Even during regular driving I have to let off the gas early before I push the clutch in.

I know this is a modern car thing…

What can be done to make the shifting more “direct”?

I know right? It's not just a rev hang. It keep revving UP for a second after I release the accelerator.
I've gotten used to it at this point. So much so, it messes me up when I'm driving the Civic.

I do recommend you get something to reduce the rear engine mount flex. There are complete replacements and just inserts.
I did the cheap insert (PowerFlex PFF25-420) and it made a big difference.

Good to know. I’ll add that to the list.

I’ve heard of the CMC delay valve delete. Will be doing that as well.

Is there anything electrical that can be done?

Sorry. Never looked into fixing the rev hang. I just live with it. I don't shift quick.
I will push to redline sometimes (e.g. merging onto freeway = 2nd gear redline), but I take my time to let the clutch drop, so I don't wear down the clutch.

Yeah. This is my first drive-by-wire car so I guess I have to start new habits.

I’m an aggressive shifter coming from cars like a 350z and NA Miata. Actually the only reason I got the Fit is because I daily a 1981 Volvo 240 with a Foxbody 5.0 swap that is in need of some work
