Dim Lights

I was driving yesterday, and the light(s) behind the right cluster - fuel, mileage, outside temp - flickered and got very dim. I flickered back to bright a couple of times, but it's always dim now. I have two concerns: it will eventually go completely dark, and I won't know my fuel level or miles on the car; it will cost $2,000 to replace everything from the windshield back to get that light working.

Any ideas?

Bad ground somewhere? Maybe corrosion caused by too much moisture. Could also be the fuse making poor contact in the fuse box.

Thanks. That's worth a look.

I told the car that if it didn't straighten up and get that light brighter, I was going to drive it off a cliff. Well, I'd send it off a cliff.

This morning, I drove forty miles with a bright dash!

I have no idea, but my 2017 Fit dash lights go dark when I turn my headlight on when the outside is not completely dark. Then, I suspect there is a sensor that allows the light to get bright again when the enviroment got dark. Is that what you are talking about?

Whatever caused it, it has stopped dimming, and it's back to normal - for now.
