key fob

got a price at a local dealership for a new key fob for my '19 fit lx for $250 , which included programing the key fob to the car . can i do the programing part myself ?
i saw it done in a video with an older Honda , i this still how they do it ? it's not so much the price as it is the idea of leaving the car at the dealership

No you can't program it yourself. Make an appointment. It takes 10-15 min to cut a key and another 15 min to program it.

Yes, can program it yourself, if you have equipments like a locksmith does.

okay , so i faced my dread of taking my car to a dealership and got a new key cut and programed . they actually did it in 30 minutes , quicker than i expected .
so , i guess they'll be seeing me and my '19 fit again , . . . in another six and a half years .
