2015 Fit Heater Mode Control Dial no longer illuminated

2015 Fit heater "mode control dial" no longer illuminated (see pic of knob circled in pink). Honda wants $100 just to diagnose. I'm not skilled in DIY auto repair but I have changed bulbs on headlights, taillights and replaced my air and cabin filter. Can y'all please detail how I might be able to fix this myself WITHOUT taking the dashboard apart (outside my scope of ability) LOL. Thank you!

Looks like the whole unit needs to come out to get to the bulbs.
