Turbo gk5 discussion

Hello guys I recently turboed my gk5 if anyone has questions let me know

4.2lb on a 5lb spring .
Map sensors can't max out at 5 volts. So can't go past 5lb.
But it pretty much double the power. So pretty surprised. Been driving car non stop over 5k miles no issues hope it don't die soon .

You should look at the engine builders who have stopped taking these things in for "builds". The con rod bolts alone are insanely small. See how long it lasts.

What grade ("weight") oil are you using? Hopefully, not 0W-20.

motor bone stock i did finally upgrade my clutch besrlt 10k miles ago

that's bitchin! Did you get a custom manifold made or find one somewhere? Also what tuning software are you on?

Many folks swear by it's durability. Especially since it's far thicker than 0w16 or 0w8

0w20 is great for cafe standards but it is to thin for a turbo due to the heat involved. Although I don't know how much extra heat there is at only 5lbs of boost.
