I'm normally a fan of bigger brakes, but without doing some kind of rear disc conversion, you're taking a setup that already has a huge bias to the front and making it even more biased to the front. I know the fronts do most of the work, but on this car with the drums and most owners not trying to late brake into corner entry, my suspicion is that they intentionally reduced the rear braking power to increase the service interval.
I don't have any numbers to prove it one way or the other, but I've seen on other threads that people go three or more sets of front pads before the drums need any work. Other family cars I've had were either two to one front/rear, or change all four corners at once.

I agree with the 60/40 split front and rear and the fact that the fronts wear quicker than the rear. Every vehicle I have ever had I have put more brake pads on the front than the rear usually two to one as you say, it just depends on your driving style.

I also read a couple other forms about the GK5 DPHA Wilwood set on a track GK5 out of China and he posted that this setup wasn’t much better than stock but that the 12 inch rotor was a noticeable difference. Both kits he tried he had race shoes installed on the rear for the drums. He also stated that he had driven other GK5s that had the rear disc conversion and didn’t notice any difference then his car with the race shoes on the rear drum setup

Thanks for your post. Do you use any spacer? My rims probably interference with the calipers. Just wondering if willwood could offer other Hat with differenceHat Offset Dimension (in):0.45
