new tires finally

had new 195/55/15s put on my '19 , along with an alignment . , they were due . the tires ride nice but i can feel a very mild vibration in the steering wheel coming on around 60 . you
can even see it if you take your hand off the wheel . when i picked up the car i had to readjust the inflation ( way over inflated , up near 40 lbs ) also they must have used a lot of
sealer on the rims ( 7" alloys ) as it was all over lip of all 4 rims . never had to clean up a mess like that .at home i took the front left off to have a look see , there were no weights on
the back of the rim , same with the right front . you could see where the original weights were glued on but they were removed . the back rims had weights . anyway , i've never seen that .
is that possible , are newer tires that well balanced they could get away with no weights ? or , is it as simple as , they just forgot ?

Perfection from a tire company? I'd say no. Maybe go back and ask the shop foreman with his wide experience what he thinks the odds are of tire companies producing perfect tires, Get him to recheck them. (Don't forget that it's not just the tire but the metal wheel would also have to be perfectly in balance to match it.)

as a follow up . i brought it back to Goodyear this morning , told them about the shimmy in the wheel at 60 and also brought up the missing weights . at the counter they told it was possible
to not need any weights . anyway when i picked the car up they told the one wheel actually didn't need any weights but the other one did , they fixed it so , the car is fine . all is well . i've got
general tires altimax rt-45s 195 55 15s on 7" rims
