2020 Fit won’t start after calibrating TPMS
Recently purchased a 2020 Fit EX in very exceptional condition with only 28,000 miles. Have had no problems at all until after I set tires to correct pressures and then did the TPMS calibration. I also attempted to set some of the driving safety settings such as as lane departure, etc. From that point on the car will not start. I can’t get it in the start mode by pushing the start button and the warning lights will flash erratically. Sometimes the accessory on message shows up on the dash but not always. Never had a problem before starting it. Wondering if I screwed something up trying to redo the settings. I have seen some mention made that a dying battery can cause something like this. I expect the battery is the original so it must be going on 5 years old. Has anyone else experienced this same issue? I will greatly appreciate any help. Thank you,
Sounds like a low/failing 12v battery to me, and in general that is the KISS answer to a lot of common problems in modern computerized cars.
Do you have or can you borrow a trickle charger? Get the battery charged up and see if it fixes your problem, then once the car is mobile get the battery checked to make sure it is okay.
