Interior Frost
Interior Frost
My 2015 Fit apparently has a rain/water leak somewhere. It's not unusual for me to get into the car after heavy rain and find the windows covered with condensation. Guess what happens in the winter. 😁
It was 9° when I got into the car this morning, and the inside of the windshield was frosted over. It's not easy scraping the inner, curved windshield. The sides windows weren't bad, but the rear was iced-over.
Is there a particular spot that is prone to leak on these cars? My son's 2020 Fit does not leak.

If the moisture barrier is compromised in any of the doors, you will get water in the adjacent floor board area. This problem is exacerbated if you also have a compromised belt molding on the window allowing more water to get inside the door.
Many Fits also seem to have rear leaks that lead to water in the spare tire area in the back hatch.
If your A/C drain is blocked, you will eventually dump water into the passenger floorboard.
So, the basic summary is to check the five low spots in the car for moisture.

The window moisture barrier was the issue I had. I bought the goop from Honda and redid it.

Also used it to help with leaking behind the door panel into rear passenger compartment. Only affected the rear drivers side for some reason and the husky mat would have a pool of water in a hard rain.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to buy a new car. 😂
I'll check all the joints and see I find any leaks.

I live in the great white north and some form of melted snow always makes it into my car. My trick is that I buy a huge desiccant pouch (made for a garage or a shed) and stick it under the driver’s seat. They are pretty cheap and last about a whole season. It helps absorb some humidity and may help you while you solve your issue.
