Water from... windshield leak?

Hey folks. My wife has complained that, in the rain, her 2013 Fit has been dripping water onto her left knee. I assumed it was the door seal, but when I caught it in the act after it was parked in the driveway in the rain, the water was dripping from where I'm pointing to in the photo, the seam where the plastic covering the side curtain airbag meets the big headliner piece. Directly above that is the windshield. Am I correct that it's reasonable to assume the leak is originating from the upper left corner of the windshield? I don't see where else it could be coming from. I've searched her on the form and read many of the leak-related posts, but didn't see anything that screamed that this is common.

Thanks.

Does your car have the original Honda windshield or has it been replaced?

You're probably right the leak is from the windshield. Not necessarily a leak from directly where you're pointing in the picture- just from that spot which could be the low spot for the water to drain to.

I'd check your car insurance and see if they will cover re-sealing the glass under your comprehensive coverage in the policy. A good glass repair shop could probably "cut" your windshield out and reinstall/reseal your existing glass back into your car for a reasonable fee.

It would probably also be a good idea to see if you can pull your headliner down- especially in that area to see if there's any rust, damage or mildew present that needs treatment.

Certainly reasonable that it could be the windshield seal. However another possibility could be the seam under the roof runner. Here is a pic of what a crack looks like near the rear of the vehicle:

Thumbs up That is my exact problem

I have a 2013 Fit, and this was a slow leak, and so it took me a while to realize what was happening. At first, I always assumed that the water was on my pants as I got it, rather than on the seat where it drips from where the picture shows.

Rob...any luck fixing this? Thanks.

I have a 2015, did you have any luck figuring out where the leak is coming from?
