What is the Climate Control Unit?

In reading the directions for replacing the Start/Stop button, the first thing I have to do is either remove the "Heater Control Panel" if the car doesn't have Climate Control, or remove the "Climate Control Unit." So, what is a climate control unit, and does my 2015 EX have one? It has A/C.

I find it odd that they seem to give the directions in reverse order.

1. Remove heat controls. But in order to do that, I must first remove the radio. That involves six pages of directions, followed by four other removals. It's totally backwards.

I'm going to consider cutting access to that Start/Stop switch below the dash. Then I can reach up and remove it. Otherwise, I have to remove most of the dashboard.

Free Fix At Your Local Honda Dealer.

Before you start hacking the dashboard,
.
First find out if you can get your Start button fixed for no charge at your local Honda Dealer.

If not and it costs you more than your willing to pay at your local Honda Dealer,

Hack away.

Take this panel off, reach behind and squeeze the two tabs holding the button in place. It's been a while but I believe that's how i did it. I don't remember taking the climate controls out.

Right. I'll stop by tomorrow. I figure it's better than ask in person rather than on the phone. I have the $46 button sitting right here in front of me, in the Honda box.

Climate control is where you can set a temperature and AUTO for fan speed.

Heater control is where you select your own fan speed and generally speaking a knob or slider will allow you change the air from cool to hot.

Mine must be set manually - no AUTO - so I guess I don't have Climate Control
