How am I burning up money? The price of the '14 Civic actually was less than what I paid for the black '13 EX sedan back in January 2013. The equity I had in the '13 Civic was my down payment on the '14.

By the way Mike, if you haven't got something constructive AND positive to contribute here please don't say anything at all. Keep snarky comments to yourself!
1.) Are you saying you lost ZERO money? If not, you've burnt money for a car that still lags behind its competition (and its predecessors) in MANY ways.
2.) This is a public internet message board. If you think I'm being snarky, you should probably log off and stay off the internet. I'm like a guppy in comparison to most of the web's proverbial shark.

The extra power with the same MPG, and sportier style has got me thinking. I never really used all the storage room in my recently sold 2012 Fit.

If Honda doesn't release the Fit or at least announce when they will I may find a Mazda in my driveway.
I recently test drove a Mazda3i Touring HB 6MT because I was bored. It was a mistake; now I'm considering selling my beater car and getting a 3i Touring with the Tech Package.

The 3i drives so much nicer than my 10 Fit Sport. Fit is really choppy because of the short wheelbase. 3i feels more powerful. Interior is quieter than the Fit. Mazda did a good job on their 6MT. Clutch take up is good and transmission was really smooth.

The Bose system is amazing for a cheap C segment car. Not Acura ELS good, but very good for what it is.

When I look at the Fit I also look at the Mazda3 since I've been cross shopping the two. No matter how much I like the Mazda3 though, I can't stand the fact it has no side storage in the front doors, and also that ugly tacky radio. The interior looks great with the infotainment unit on the iGrand touring trims, but I can't fathom spending close to $25k otd for a new mazda3 2.0L, especially when its competitors come with standard touch screens or LED headlights (e.g. civic or corolla) and alloy wheels for around $20-22k.

Still, the Mazda3 is a lovely drive. Test drove one at the auto show... I'd gladly swoop one up if it were $2k less than what the trims currently sells for.

we too considered a 3 but the cost was 10% more than a Fit; that wasn't the trouble. It was the tach being inconpicuous down in the corner. Tried to buy a 03 but couldn't. Then specs changed. I bought an electruc car to use during the week and my hybrid on weekends. So last month my gas bill was over $200 and this month $36. I like the way the 3 drives but need more info and then my budget said it needed improvement. And so ....

What change did you see in your electric bill?
