Ugh: "June"

From the official Honda Fit Facebook page:

"Every Fit is a great #FitForYou, and the 2015 model won’t be any different. Fits will be arriving at your local dealer this June."

June 45th? Hopefully the rear bumper was recalled for criminal ugliness.

Very disappointing, and I'm actually quite surprised they couldn't get their act together in time for the big Memorial Day Weekend sales push. I was holding out hope that Honda would get the Fits to the dealerships next week for that very reason.

Although I'm being patient and know I may have to wait longer I do think there is a chance they start trickling in next week.

I was hoping that also.. But it doesn't look like that will happen. Might need to wait until the 4th of July holiday, unless there are some good promotions going before that.

How is that even related to a Honda Fit haha? You were comparing a WRX to a fit?

Anyway this is annoying, cause the later you guys get the cars in the US, the later most of us will get the fit in Canada....I am getting rid of my BMW this month so i was hoping we would get the fit in the summer for Canada as Honda stated earlier

My guess would be that, if the Fit can't come out on time when he is ready to pick up a new car, he will just pick up a WRX. Not comparing car, but rather he is tired from the wait and just want another car.

I too will just pick up another new car, if someday when I am tired of the delay.

Yep, you are right. It's obviously not a direct comparison, but it is a new car. So, I bought a white 2015 base WRX, manual transmission today. It's a real shame that the FIT took so long past their expected release date, over 1 month now and still waiting. I was really excited to save fuel, have a fun zippy car, and have similar functionality as my old SUV. I still wonder if I made the right choice by getting the WRX. :\ Spent $10k more then I would have with the fit :\

Hey, the WRX is worlds better than the new Fit, obviously it's also in a different class. The new Fit being late is a good excuse to get an even better new car!

Much quicker.

Handles way better. It has a flat engine!

and you got a manual! That's awesome.

Post pics!

Here is a photo I took today on the lot. Unfortunately, these are not of my actual car. This is another car with the automatic. Mine is still in transit and should arrive in a couple days, but should look identical to this picture.

Mine also won't have the trunk spoiler.

It's interesting you mentioned your BMW. I'm waiting to trade in my 2000 740i for the Fit. I don't have it in my sig since I'm ready to trade it in. **Maybe I'll add it**. It's in perfect condition but I don't want to run into any maintenance issues like the BimmerForums guys have. Maintenance = $$$. Only have driven it for 2800 miles in the 2.5yrs I have owned it. I just love the way it looks.

Please dude...no WRX pics. I'm a Subaru-aholic. I got it REALLY bad for Subarus and do not need another. This is killing me!

Did they just happen to tell you why it was pushed to June? Probably not but can't hurt to ask.

Knowing the sleazy dealer tactics. They'll "hew and haw" with any answer and give it to him in two weeks. By that time it will be June.

Whoever told you that could certainly be correct.

Here are the three main ports that Honda has contracted namely: Port of Brunswick (GA), Port of Dainsville (Rhode Island) and Port of Baltimore (Maryland).

If your close to any of these, pop over and see what they have in store for us!!!

"Where are the stories about how Honda had already shipped these vehicles and rolled out a giant campaign, and prepping for the sales and now have gone back, refunded money paid for vehicles and are now crushing these vehicles? If it was GM crushing vehicle that have already been made and re-invoicing them it would be front page news."

"These were not developmental mules but vehicles that were accepted by production for dealer's retail stock. They were invoiced to said dealers, shipped and then held at the railyards. Honda then refunded the money back to the dealers, took the invoice out of their name and the vehicles have basically disapeared. Word is they are being stripped and now crushed for scrap. There is clearly a major manufacturing error."

"Here is the closest I can find of it being reported:
http://hondaboss.blogspot.com/2014/0...us-market.html

"Yesterday we actually had a new Fit unloaded - but the driver said there was a key problem, loaded it back on the truck and took it away!"

Showing up at dealers and being taken back:
https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...t-go-sale.html

You won't be seeing 2015 Fit's on a lot until Mid June at the earliest. Honda Originally said an April 16th release? At least they are handling their issues but right now automotive manufactures are scared to death about recalls. You're only going to see more recalls and more delayed releases because they are scared.
