Armrest on the 2015 Fit

I test drove the Fit EX CVT today and I think it's a great car. I will buy it.
The only disappointment was the existing armrest. It was very small and too low to really be useful. I asked the rep if there was an after-market armrest but he had no idea. Has anyone already researched this? Looking for something that could be bolted in in the side of the seat at the right level.

I agree about the armrest, it sits waaaay too low. I have the add-on one for my 09 Fit and it's the perfect height so I don't know why Honda decided to make a major change to the height. Did you try lowering the driver seat all the way?

Yes I tried lowering the seat but thought the armrest was still too low.

This has me concerned as well. I'll only know with a test drive. But I like the armrest on my 2012. That left elbow height is no small thing at all- it's important. Is the rest wide enough for the passenger to use now too?

Thanks for the great pics. Did you have your dealer in Brazil installed it for you, or is this something you had to do yourself?

Looks like we have an answer already. Answers a huge concern for me. I'm cheap as hell but I'll spend whatever for an armrest lol...This was one of a couple issues that might prevent me from getting a Fit lol....either than or I'm not above like duct taping some phonebooks to the existing little console lolz

That's nothing new

honda fit center console | eBay

But a 2015 should NOT have to force anyone to revisit old 3rd party center console concerns. The new center console looks great, but too low?! Good grief.

Arm rest? Definitely! The console itself? Hell No. It's the largest reason I bought the car. If I wanted a giant console I'd have bought a Toyota.

That armrest above looks like it's for a GE Fit, not a GK. If you look, it takes up the space of the back cupholder and leaves the front one, just like the GE. At least the EX and above versions of the GK won't be able to use that because the armrest has the 12V and USB plugs in it.

I believe the console used in 15 U.S. Fit is the same used in RS Fit and Fit Hybrid Japan so it may not work out the installation.
But you better check this information.
This image below is how the armrest is installed on 15 Fit Brazil

Here in Brazil the armrest price is abusive 300,00 to 400,00 US, but I'm going to win him the courtesy dealer when buying the Fit 15

Have bought a few parts of this direct seller in japan and it is reliable:

suzukimotors | Rakuten Global Market: Only fit parts armrest console basket

Fit 15 U.S. have the different console whit can see in this Bernardi Parts console image:

So armerest Fit does not fit the 15 U.S. exchange only if the armrest by the Brazilian model.

Yeah the armrest is super low. Even with the seat as low as possible.

Iv notice its forced me to drive with my right and put the left of the door.

Iv always driven stick so I wasn't used to driving with my right.

If you have a manual, try a longer shift knob. It'll make it so your elbow is more of a 90 degree angle, definitely more comfortable.

This is what I had in my last Fit. You can find cheaper alternatives on that website, and also a shift lever extension.
