Discount on 2015 Fit?

Brand new car in high demand, I assume not too many buyers are able to bargain? For those of you that are proud new Fit owners, have you been able to negotiate some discount from MSRP?

Mostly seems to have been MSRP. There is a thread dedicated to this.

Unlikely. Even the 2013 Fits are discounted by not much.

A dealer in my area told me they are actually expecting an increase in price for the 2015 Fits when they arrive

I got 115 off MSRP and considered that a victory. :P

400 bucks off MSRP; and that was because my employer has an arrangement with the dealership.

How about discounts like USAA, Costco, AAA, etc? Any word on that?

I have never paid MSRP for any vehicle and don't plan on starting now. If I am to be successful in that goal it probably will not be easy. I asked my dealer yesterday if they would come off of MSRP and he said he wasn't sure, but would do what they could to get the sale.

Now how pricing goes when it gets to the manager will be interesting. I suspect they will come off of MSRP but try to hammer me with dealer stuff. There are a few things I want to add, but certainly not $1,000 or more worth of stuff.

When I buy I will lay out what I want and have my down payment and bank check in my pocket with no trade in involved. Very easy clean deal. If we can come to an agreement then they can move a unit very quickly. My hope is that when they see how little time they have to spend with me and that they can move a car off the lot the day it arrives, they will be satisfied with a small profit in exchange for quick easy work.

I would be interested to know how it goes! Around here the dealers are only getting 2-3 Fits at a time and they are selling at or above MSRP within a few days of arrival.

Same for around here. If you can get any substantial discount I would consider it a huge victory. The dealers I have spoken to seem very confident they can move these with little effort. Esp for the first month or two
