Unhappy Was hoping to have my Fit by now - still waiting

I have a Honda Dealership right down the street- walking distance. I test drove the EXL a week ago. I thought I wanted the purple but luckily I saw it and decided I loved the Silver instead. I am looking for the Alabaster Silver EXL with Navi. They didn't have one. Unfortunately with it being right before 4th of July they were busy. I waited all weekend to see if they could do a dealer trade- they said they were working on it and emailed me several times to let me know. The thing is they said I could get $4500 trade in for my 2003 CRV which I thought was really good. They have not been able to get the car yet I have seen it online cars.com and auto trader and some other dealership sites, but I don't know how up to date those sites are. They quoted me 21,590. So I'm not sure if I should try to order one or check on other dealerships. I am getting impatient.

Silver should be pretty available but with the Navi I don't know. Not sure how many have been made. if you went with the Ex or EX-L you may have a better shot.

I have come to realize that quite a few of the cars listed on Cars.com are apparently "coming soon" instead of available on a dealer's lot. Also, know that not all dealers are listed on Cars.com. I went to Honda.com and pulled a list of all dealers within a reasonable distance. Then I went to their individual dealer websites. Some show you which cars are in transit and which are in stock, but some don't give any indication. But you can then call or e-mail to see what they have.

And I share your impatience. We're waiting on a White EX and are ready for it to be here yesterday!

I had emailed 5 different dealers within 75 miles and waited for them to call i had a deposit already down on one but fortunately they were the first to get one in. They are a pretty large dealer so I suppose they always get first pick. Anywho, it never hurts to contact all nearby. It just increase your chances. Of course the down side is they bug to crap out of you and you have to tell them you already bought one. Lol

I called around and found one at a reasonable distance (it was listed on their website and autotrader). I am going to go tomorrow morning get a quote and see what they offer for trade in and if they don't dick me around I will get it from them. Wish me luck!

Same situation here - I've contacted at least 5 or 6 different dealerships and no one has any EX's. I've test driven both an EX-L (Passion Berry, which I regret not scooping up!) and an LX, but alas, no EX.

I finally found a dealership who claims to have an EX on hand (in sexy Modern Steel) that I'm going to try to get today. Fingers crossed!
