How to Connect XM Radio
#2
I installed a Roady2 and placed the XM antenna right in back of the normal radio antenna which works great.
I have a picture posted under my screen name on the forum in this link-

I think you maybe talking about only using the existing antenna? Not sure if this helps

What I mean is getting the signal from the XM radio to the radio in the Fit. For other installations, I ran a wire from a modulator to the car antenna and from the modulator to the radio. How did you get the signal from the XM to the Fit?
Where did you mount the Roady2?

The Roady2 sendS the XM signal to the FM channel 88.5 and I then receive the XM stations over the car OEM radio. The Roady2 is not hard wired to the car unit. Hope this answers your question.
Cheers!

Thanks. I forgot about that, since I had always used a modulator.

The best FM sound was obtained with the MD100 tuner and roof antenna. The NAD tuner and Godar antenna were both good but did not allow best reception or sonics. Sound quality is a toss-up with FM winning the battle for ultimate resolution and detail and XM taking points for consistency.

Great! I installed my xm antenna (magnetic) right in back of my roof antenna and ran the wire hidden a the way to the front console where my Roady2 is. It made for a clean install. Just a thought.
