To me steeliness scream base base base car. Not a look I like. To each their own though. If you like it that's all that matter.

They look good with just a hub cap in the middle or with full disc wheel covers. A lot of the alloys these days are getting ridiculous in their design, looking like sci-fi weapons rather than engineered wheels. The fact that they weigh several pounds more than the steel wheels belie their "sporty" attributes.

To be fair, at least on the GE8 (I haven't scrutinized the new version yet in the flesh), the factory wheel covers also scream out "base base base car." Perhaps even more than bare steelies do, to my eye.

Every car myself or my family has owned that had steel wheels, at least one hub cap would go missing. Either vandals or just popping off for whatever reason. I really hate hubcaps and much prefer alloys lol.
