Update on Connector Behind Outlets
I mentioned the other day that while I had the panel with the 12v/HDMI/USB outlets removed, I was unable to lock or unlock the car using the door handles.
Now I found a new reason for that connection: the car won't start without it. I had been leaving that panel disconnected while I messed around in there, deciding what accessories should go where. When I want to drive the car, I have to plug in that cable. It's the one on the bracket over the three outlets.

I believe that actually goes to the LED module.
Which LED is that? What does it do - aside from looking pretty?
Personally I'd rather replace the led in my interior illumination kit with soft white to match the ones there in the center console. I suppose it requires some soldering.
