2015 Fit New Model Newsletter Information (Version 5)

Yesterday I drove a LX manual transmission Fit to use as a "toad" behind my RV. And when I ask the salesman to show me in the manual where it shows that flat towing is OK he couldn't find it. So I called Honda USA and they found that on page 308 it is OK to flat tow the manual transmission. Anyone else have that in their owners manual?
I am still waiting for the salesman to get back to me. LOL.

Apparently after 30-60 minutes the system goes into power saving mode and supposedly does not lock the steering. I wonder if the system was originally programmed to lock the steering which would be very bad for a vehicle being flat-towed? Somebody might have said "What about those Americans who buy Fits to tow behind motorhomes, we don't want to lose those sales!" and the programming was revised.
I'd still feel a lot more comfortable with a LX and its manual steering lock.

My 2015 EX was delivered in Oct and came with Firestone tires. I drove less than 3000 km before the ambient temperatures started to get down in the 4 degrees C. Upon the first small snowfall of less than 5 cm, it was clear to me that these all seasons are totally unacceptable in a real winter environment.
I talked to my favourite tire guy and he agreed to take them on trade against a set of Michelin X-Ice tires. Much better grip by far.
In the spring, I bought a set of alloy wheels (stayed with 15") and a set of Pirellis P4plus.
While these are four season (laughable designation), they are quiet and very grippy. Overall, I am happy with handling and ride.
I do however have some complaints about the UI for the damn audio system. I will post those remarks in a more appropriate forum.

This is good to know. My 2015 EX CBP is in the mid-100s. it was a corporate car used by American Honda in Portland, OR. At 10K they sold it to an employee and then at 15K the employee (with a baby on the way) sold it to me. So far so good.
