Radio stereo head unit

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I'm listening to music while pulling into the garage and and I push the blending start stop to turn off the car and it always kills my music. Hiw do I prevent this? It's incredibly frustrating to have to turn the power on again as it interups the mood. How do I maintain audio during an on off cycle thanks.

I would also like to be able to shutoff the engine without interrupting audio. To prevent wasting fuel while idling, I turn off the car then turn the stereo back on but I miss several seconds of news radio which makes the news hard to follow. I looked over the manual and there does not seem to be a way to turn off the engine without also turning off the audio.

However, if you turn off the car while in neutral, the car will stay on until you shift into park. I can't remember if this shuts off the engine or not, but if it does, then shifting into neutral first would be a workaround.

Listening to the end of a song isn't going to kill the battery. Filling the garage with fumes is going to kill the brain cells.

This is one of the problems with push button ignition. In traditional cars I can turn the key back to the accessory position to stop the engine without interrupting music.

Humming the end of the song would not drain the battery.

Doubt there is any easy way to prevent it. You may be able to track down the feed wires and connect them to an always hot line but make sure you never leave the radio on once you get out because as said, they are tiny batteries and I ran mine down while installing Sirius while working with tech.

I think he's saying that constantly stopping and starting your car is what's going to kill the battery.

I believe leaving it in ANY gear (or neutral) and turning it off leaves the power on (and the audio)... Shifting to park ultimately turns the electronics off. A little different than the Accord EX-L I had, (I think on that one you held the shift lever button in and pressed the start button to go back to the accessory mode)

Going off memory as I haven't driven the car in a few days but I think that's how it works... Will confirm on next drive unless someone beats me to it.

I can confirm that if you turn off the car while in any gear other than park, all accessories will remain powered, but the engine will shut off. This work-around is a solution that allows us to both turn off the engine but not interrupt listening to the rest of a song.

What about those of us with a manual transmission? I may need to test this out soon.
