You'd think they could standardize the size of something as common as a recessed rocker switch. I ordered two of these nice switches from Amazon, but they're too large. I don't want to cut into the car, so I'm trying to cut down the switch to fit the opening on the left in the dash. I cut a piece from the top of the switch, and I discovered that it holds the two halves of the switch together. I used some epoxy to put it back together. If I can't cut it enough to fit into the opening, I'll return the other one ($15 + faster shipping).


In the meantime, I ordered one of these. It's made by a different company, so maybe it's a different size.


I'll let you know if I find anything that's a good fit.
