Good to know that it earned a Good from IIHS in all categories except for the Small Overlap Front. I've been patiently waiting for the IIHS report before making the decision, but this makes it easier. New Fits on the lot should also have the upgraded bumper, I hope.

Yeah, the cutoff was June I believe, so you should be good. You'll want to check with Honda in late September when they have all the info just to be sure though.
You can't. Assuming that VINs are assigned sequentially and enough people provide build dates and VINs, you might be able to extrapolate the date. Or you could just look at the label on the door that tells you the build date (well month/year anyway). From that info if it's prior to 6/14 you need the work if it's 7/14 or later you don't and if it's 6/14, you might. Or you can guesstimate that if your VIN ends in a number under 12000 you need the work (they haven't provided the exact count though and we're assuming no VINs were skipped).
