Honda Civic 2014

I was set on getting the new FIT. I thought the car would be available by now in Canada, and since my old ride was no longer safe to drive, I needed a new car ASAP.

So, I had no choice but to get the civic instead. I got myself the EX model. I'm leasing it for 4 years. I actually really like the civic, but the FIT will always be in the back of my mind lol. Maybe by the end of the lease, I can get my hands on a newer FIT model, or maybe buy a used 2015 FIT.

Hi cmchan,

Congrats on the new Honda Civic EX. It really is an awesome little car. In fact, I have owned a few Si Civics in the past. This is the first non-Si Civic in a while that I feel is very fun to drive.

The Fit is a very cool car and there's always the future to look forward to. But in the meantime, to quote the great Adam West,"Good work, old chum"!!

Honda has lost a lot of sales to other brands, also. This type of roll-out is never good

if you dont really need the cargo space or particularly like the boxy shape of a fit, a civic is a better car all together.
i had a 8th gen civic ex a while back. it was a nice car (while not at the dealer for warranty repairs...)

congrats.

An 8th gen civic is what I was supposed to be getting until I saw the 3rd gen fit.

That civic is 9th generation. My mom has 2013 EX-L navi sedan. She gets 44mpg highway. Enjoy

Yeah, I know. I just prefer the 8th gen over the 9th.

Where is that pic taken.....Laval? Lol. I would have gotten a Civic instead if I was able to justify the extra cost. Our 13' Fit is still holding up fine, although having moved to Oil Country, Alberta, I can count at least 100 rock chips in the paint so far.

lol I grabbed the pic from another forum, but it's the exact model and color that I have myself. Was just too lazy to take a pic myself haha

Congrats on the Civic. I am actually in a similar position as you. Was set on a 2015 Fit, but have been waiting over a month now with no end in sight and am running out of patience. I ended up test driving the Civic again this weekend, and now I'm most likely going to purchase that instead. The Civic is a much quieter and better composed car than the Fit. While the Fit is zippy and a bit more interesting to drive due to it's lower weight, has better fuel economy, and is roomier in the rear seats with better hauling versatility, I think the Civic will work better for my family. I was assured that with the higher profit margin on the Civic, I could get it at a price that will match my budget so I'm less averse to moving up the class than I was earlier.
