ignition key (LX) getting more difficult to use

I'm tempted to apply some lubricant (WD-40?). Should I just bring this back to dealer? Why would it be getting more challenging to use? I have only had it for a month.

By all means , take the car to the dealer service department. let them decide whether lubrication is the correct thing or if something else is going on.

Either way, if they document your visit and problem, it is on the record if there is a future failure (without you contributing to it by applying the ((wrong?)) lubrication). It also gets information into Honda's system about problem areas the new Fits experience, and I'm sure they are keeping track of those to see if any patterns occur.

Bring it in before you do anything to it. Highly doubtful it's a lubricatation problem. May have a poor cut to a key or the ignition is binding. Either way don't give reason for a repair to be denied...

That switch shouldn't cause any issues for a decade or more. If it is, take it to the dealer.

If you do wish to lubricate a lock, do not use WD-40. Use Triflow or another lock-specific lubricant.

WD-40 is more of a penetrating lube, good for freeing locks from corrosion, but not for long-term lubrication.
