GK Fit Shop / Service / Repair Manual?

Anyone know of a source for a shop / service / repair manual* for the '15+ GK Fit? Searching has yet to turn anything up.

the car is too new to have released the factory service manual to the public. when it is released, it will be here:

Service Manuals, Owner Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Service Bulletins - Helm Incorporated

the last Fit service manual released so far is for the 2012. so you will have to wait a while for the 2015.

i have ran into this problem in the past with newer cars and the racing we do. we have to have the official factory service manual in our possession to prove specs and tolerances in impound after we run. allowances are made for cars that are too new to have the manual available however.

you *may* however be able to get a hold of the service training manual if you know someone at Honda... but that is not the official service manual.

when the service manual is available, do not be surprised by the price... last one i bought cost $140, and that was a long time ago.

Kind of what I figured. Helm makes good manuals from what I remember. Since I normally try to keep my cars 10+ years, it's "just pennies a day!". :thumb ups:

EDIT - found this link, which also might be helpful (eventually): Honda Independent Repair Website. The "paper manual" link goes back to the Helm website.

well, Helm is the factory service manual... and for the price, it better be good !

if you are just using a manual for repairs and such, wait for the Chiltons or Haynes. they will be released long before the factory manual will be. will be like $15 at your favorite auto parts store. no, it is not as detailed as the factory manual, but the average person can do most repairs using it.

i only need the factory manual due to racing... mine for the 89 Civic Si still has the plastic wrap on it and has never been opened. i have never needed it, as i have never been protested. i have rebuilt the entire car, including complete engine and transmission rebuild, and do not need any manuals for it... i guess i just know these cars too well. if we could use the Haynes or Chilton for impound documentation, that is what i would have instead, instead of what i refer to as my $140 paper brick.

I'm sure I'll get one of those when they come out, but they often leave a lot to the imagination… what I like is a manual with tons of illustrations/photos, and the aftermarket manuals tend to be light on those.

Like you, the longer I have a car, the less I need to go to the manual anyway.
