Towing a '15 Fit CVT

I'm looking to upgrade from an '08 to the '15 Fit model. I know that the CVT model can't be towed with all 4 wheels down, but can it be towed by an RV using a tow dolly?

I don't see why not as long as the front two wheels are off the ground.
The rear two do nothing, no mechanical linkage to the powertrain.

Hello Miapeter,

The vehicle can be towed by two methods, but for emergency purposes. Hope this helps! This is on page 428 of the owner's manual for the 2015 Fit under emergency towing. This is the only section for towing besides towing a trailer.

Call a professional towing service if you need to tow your vehicle.

1) Flat Bed equipment

- The operator loads your vehicle on the back of a truck. This is the best way to transport your vehicle.

2) Wheel lift equipment

- The tow truck uses two pivoting arms that go under the front tires and lift them off the ground. The rear tires remain on the ground. This is an acceptable way to tow your vehicle.

Regards,

Jonathan

I tow mine using a dolly, rear wheels are free spinning so no different than driving.
