Got a play-by-play on how to do this?

I was also wondering this as I hate the fact the color changes from green to blue, to blue to green etc.
Can we change it so the color is stable that it does not change like that?
Can we turn it off.

indeed when you cruise on gear is more efficient that neutral or push the clutch ...

when cruising in city a 35-40 mph in 6th i manage 40mpg and this is 90% city driving

i have yet to test it on lot more on highway

There is a small thin space on each side of speedo where blue / green lights are located. To block them cut two slivers of black electical tape to cover lights. To dim it down take a spare piece of window tints and cut two slivers to cover lights. To make it stay the same color all the time get a piece of blue or green tinted plastic sheet and cut and cover lights.

After Settings there are 8 settings, and none of them include Vehicle. 201`6 Honda Fit Owners Manual, pp226.

German owners manual says you can change the fuel efficiency backlight color from white (stock color) into red/purple/green/yellow etc. In the car I could not find the described menu. I guess it is a simple mistake caused by Honda adopting some text parts from the HR-V owners manual and not matching them correctly to the Fit.

Just visually?
I like the lights. I think it looks good.
As far as an actual driving tool?
The value is questionable at best.
But it doesn't hurt, and nobody forces me to look at it.

I hated the ambient color meter when I first got the car and I was a bit piqued because the salesman said it could be disabled but I found that to be another little white lie. But it has grown on me since and now staying in the green has turned into a game of sorts. Sometimes I'll be going along and it will go blue for no seeming reason and have to wonder if it was set up to prefer tap and coast to steady acceleration.

I was wondering why my ambient fuel usage lights weren't working too. They would work sometimes, and then other times they wouldn't. Then one day, when they were working again and my check engine light came on in the middle of driving, the ambient fuel usage lights went back to the stagnant stuck default blue. As soon as the check engine light went off, my ambient fuel usage lights started working again and turning green and aqua. So if someone else is having an issue with theirs, this might be the reason why. Apparently Honda doesn't want us driving economically when the check engine light is on lol.
