making calls while driving

maybe i dont understand how to do it, but why will siri not make calls when car is moving?
and along with that when it tells me i have a new text message, it only reads it when car is stationary. you would think it would read it to you when its moving so you arent tempted to read while driving
it seems to be very cumbersome to go through all the steps to call someone when i can just pick up phone and find person and call
any advice would be great

Mine works, but it can be hit or miss. Usually hits. Phone calls while driving and it will read texts to me while moving.

Even on completely hands-free systems?

Really?? Cause this is one of the reasons I will trade in my second generation. I love having bluetooth and I have an old Iphone which I'm not even an apple guy but was going to get the 6 so I would have no issue with the new car and always dreamed about being able to get texts without having to look at the phone cause as someone else said in British Columbia its a big no no

Hope you guys get it to work and report back as its actually a big deal for me
Like not having bluetooth, once you have it and don't have it... its a huge deal

Yes, very common!

I'm a little disappointed I bought a Moto Roadster 2 for my Corolla, but I may continue to use it because I know how to use it already so there's no learning curve.

In Illinois the current law is hands free only for cell phone use. We have many people who still drive around with the phone on speakerphone and hold it like a walkie talkie...not quite hands free.

Should work on yours. I use mine daily while on the freeway.

I Siri it. The only problem i usually have is when someone has multiple numbers and then i have to go the extra step and say Mobile, Work etc. First world problems.

I use an iPhone 6

Whats a bad bluetooth system (Toyota 2011 4 Runners) The worst handsfree system ever. Think of elephant crap on your dash, thats what the 4runner has.
