GD vs GK- which do you like better?

Back to the GD/GE section I go, where every once in a while, cars are actually modified/enjoyed!
Comparing the GD and GK is hard for me.
The GD is very much a quirky, go-karty, sporty car. Something in the essence of the CRX.
The GK on the other hand is a much more "refined" car. That's the best way I can put it. Its a much more "grown up" car. It lost much of the quirky, sporty characteristics of the GD and GE, but manages to be faster while being less fun to drive. The tech nerd in me appreciates the added tech of the GK though. And I'm thrilled to finally have a sunroof.
I owned my GD for just over 6 years and I'm 8 months into ownership of my GK. I can't say which one is "better" because it seems like they are different cars with different aspirations. I like them both for what they are and what they tried to be.
I can definitely say I miss my GD. But I'm glad I bought my GK.

Wrong. It is better built than the GE, better mpg, more power, noticably more, and handles better.
And since you don't like the GK, why are you continually trolling this site?
I haven't noticed any real difference between the noise of a GE or GK engine.
You've said you're leaving the GK forums time and time again, but your secret lust for a GK keeps you coming back here.
Your last post on the GD and GE sections will be, "I have sinned!" when you buy your first GK. But you can keep writing about an S2000 on your fantasy world blog.
IIRC, the biggest mod you've made to your GE is to get an oil change at a Mugen dealership, LOL. That makes you a real car guy?

Most confidently stand tall by themselves, but some have to try to cut others down in a futile effort to make themselves appear taller.
My 2 cents
I just want to +1 mikeb haha. Everyone always jumps on him (often for good reasons) but honestly I find his trollish comments to be pretty funny sometimes. I spend a lot of time on reddit also and the instigators are typically the linchpins of great conversation. For example, the CVT vs M/T thread just wouldn't have been the same without mike. It just blah blah blah on the internet guys. Take it with an ocean's worth of salt.
Anyway, PROUD GK owner here. I've never driven the previous models but I do like how they look and frankly, I'm psyched to see Fits on the road, period. GD, GE, Autos, CVT, M/T, doesn't matter. Good on everyone who drives a Fit. They are awesome cars for practicality, price, mpg. The Fit nation is strong.
That being said, I don't like seeing ABM E/X Fits in my community. I was first; get your own damn color

I've driven both GD & GK Fits. Own a GK, never owned the GD though, but I had an experience driving it.
I would say the GK is pretty much like a typical older Honda small cars. More 'sporty' driving feel because of the firmer suspension tuning & the heavier & more 'connected' steering (Honda's hydraulic power steering is one of the best), hence the go-kart feel, so in this case you just want to push & push the car through corners, because it feels fun even though it understeers! but it won't make you nervous because of the firmer suspension & heavier steering.
GK is another animal, I can argue that the GK has an overall better chassis geometry than the GD. It handles just as good - arguably even better than GD, BUT you just can't feel the sportiness, because of the less stiff suspension & the lighter steering (due to using EPS / electric power steering). Even though the steering feel isn't as bad & disconnected as the 9th gen Civic, it affects you negatively if you've driven older Hondas, and you'll need to get used to it (took a few weeks for me to get used to it). The GK corners pretty well actually, only that you don't like how it corners, just because there's a floaty suspension feel paired with the lighter steering feel.
As for power, the GK of course wins. It's actually quicker than the (non Si) 9th gen Civic even. I've heard the i-DCD hybrid version is even quicker.
Overall, I'm happy with my GK. It's a more refined car, the most refined sub-compact around. I've matured a bit now that I don't pursue sportiness with the expense of loud & rough ride (used to own 3 Civics with MT, loved them but they're noisy & pretty rough).
As for the GD & GE fanatics who thinks their car is sporty enough, well, the Fit as a whole is still inferior to the older Integra with front & rear double-wishbones, so there's nothing to be boasted about. I'd choose a DC2 Integra over the Fit if I want to go in a sporty Honda....

I still find it very hard to part with my 5sp MT '97 GS-R for a great 'drivers' car experience.
All US fits have EPS, but i get what you're saying. Steering feel.

It's certainly not the same, but I'm finding my 2015 EX CVT Fit every bit as much fun to drive.
