Auto Headlights Always On
Auto Headlights Always On
Hi guys,
Not sure whats going on, but over the last day or so, my auto headlights on my 2015 EX won't shut off in the light likely should normally.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to try to reset this without taking it to the dealership first? Like cleaning a sensor or something? Anything is appreciated.
Thank you!

No, I haven't checked that. It's not that it's taking a long time to turn off; it's that the lights aren't turning off in the day.
Similar to if I just left them on all the time, as opposed to them turning on at twilight.

There is a light sensor at the bottom middle of the windshield (I know you know this already) check page 122 of the owners manual for the location. Also read page 123. I would first check to see if your light sensor is blocked. Good luck and please post your resolution!
OP are the lights on after the car has been shut off for awhile or are you referring to lights being on during the day while it is running? If the latter then these are the DRL and it is normal fo rthem to be on during the day. If they do not shut off after the car has been turned off for awhile I have no idea.
Just got mine, I notice all manufacturers are different in their sensitivity. Ford Chevy are different, like one will come on an overcast day the other wont. My New fit I notice on Auto they come on in broad daylight if i go in a stretch of forest where it cast shadows. Pretty sensitive. Now when your sitting in the car are you seeing the little headlight indicator on? Daytime lights always on when car is in gear, they are pretty dim compared to headlights.
