I like the Modern Steel Metallic because it changes with light, sky conditions, and surroundings; like buying a car in several different shades (in addition to looking cool).

what color

Asking others what color to get will get you nowhere. Take a quick look at all the colors in the chart, and the one YOU like first is what you should get.

We saw the car in every color but passion berry before purchasing. We liked the silver at night, but it looked too light and faded in the day. The white did nothing for us; the yellow was attractive, but we were worried about fading. The red didn't speak to us. It came down to the blue and the steel grey for us, and we ultimately chose the grey. It felt more upscale and really looked great in both sunlight and nighttime. We couldn't be more pleased with our choice - even when parked next to our neighbors' blue Fit in the parking lot!

I had the same impression as you regarding the Modern Steel, I thought it gave the Fit a very dignified look .

I am currently shopping for my Fit as well. Personally I would have preferred green or orange, both are not available for the Fit. Dark colors are just dull and depressing imo so that leaves me with these colors:

1) Yellow: this was my #1 choice as it looked great on paper, but in reality it's just too pale. A darker shade of yellow like

would have been perfect.

2) Red: also a lovely and bright color. I've personally never seen a faded pink car, but after reading this thread, I am becoming hesitant.

3) Blue: another nice bright color. I'm currently debating between this or the red.

4) Berry/Purple: too bad this color is only available on the EX, and none of the dealerships around Greater Seattle area carry this color. I would have loved to check it out.

*I'm still looking between the 2016 Honda Fit EX-L NAV (Aegean Blue) could go for Mystic Yellow (since in right light and up close it has hints of green shades)- have quotes in LA Region (MSRP $22,000.00) "at or just under $20k" +tax, lic, etc.- or 2016 Toyota Prius c Four w/ 16 inch wheel package and Toyota Safety Sense and Mats (MSRP $26,155.00 at or under $22,965.00+)- or 2016 Scion IM CVT (MSRP $20,263.00 at or under $18,000.00+)- All before any Factory incentives and/or rebates. Just don't know which one to get. And I have two others choices- but I like small cars- but I also like to be taken care of at dealerships- so Lexus 2016 CT200H is an option (but 2017 new generation) or 2016 is200t (previous Lexus owner- I never lease) or a MBZ small car.

I always buy extended warranties but I know- if I have a problem with Honda will get replaced- might be a slight hassle- but I remember on my Lexus I had one button protruding about a quarter inch past the other buttons on the entertainment head unit- I asked to look at it- they did- said come back in about a week- replaced with a "new- not remanufactured unit"- no charge under warranty- like 4 years after I bought it- but I saw was like $2,500.00+... yikes

I saw my first one in Mystic Yellow in person about 3 weeks ago in a parking lot of Costco in Torrance, CA (it was parked and had dealer plates on it- probably getting ready to either display it or the guy/gal had to shop for something). Took an up close look at both the "MSRP sticker" and the color- since I knew in the right light it has hint of green- going into Costco only saw Yellow- but going back to car (and looking at the sticker- the Fit was under a tree and had shade from the sun)- it looked Green.

I had a choice between black and red. I chose black and I've been happy with it. It looks sleek. Red was too "family" for me. ymmv

Too "family", really? ? ? My concern about buying a red Fit was that I thought it might be too "bucket-list", too "Viagra" or too "comb-over".

Buy a RED car. In the time it takes to wash a Fit on a warm sunny day, two ladies my age stopped today to comment on how pretty my car was. I didn't know either one of them. One was on a bicycle, the other in a car.
