Just a few bits

Just getting started with what was suppose to be my commuter but I couldn’t help myself. This little car brings back great memories of my 1990 Civic Si. Not fast but fun as hell to drive. It’s a shame to see people bashing it for being slow and not worth modifying which isn’t true. You won’t hear any argument from me about this not being a fast car, but it is quick and nimble. Not as nimble as my Civics double wishbone suspension and light weight but it does get up and go if you drive it like a Honda and keep the revs up high. I’ve driven my friends C7 Z06 and that’s a beast but it’s hard to do anything other then straight line bursts. I run out of talent before the car does. This little thing is simple and brings back the joy of simple mods to have some fun.

i have a few things still on order but for now it’s just a few simple things

Done:
- eBay from lip
- Vinyl wrap front grill
- Replaced chrome rear garnish with black from sport model
- Mixture of real and carbon “look” interior trim
- leather shift knob from EX-L model
- Hid headlights and Led turn signal switchbacks and yellow Led foglights. Led reverse, license plate and trunk bulbs

To be installed
- Tein lowering springs

On order
- Rear wing extension
- Mugen window visors

Planned
- custom cat back ehxaust combined with HKS or perhaps custom built from Greddy universal muffler
- Rims
- Fender flares
- Debating intake mainly for sound. ( This engine is buzzy as hell)
- J’a or k spec eyelids. ( U.S. model headlights have way too much chrome in them. The headlight look oversized compared to Asia models.

Talking

I rim striped my wheels today in close to Orange Fury vinyl at my friend's sign shop. They turned out slightly less than perfect. I might do them over in the early summer.

Opinions needed.
Do you think it looks better or w/o rim striping?
I wonder if the stripe should be thinner?
Would you paint the calipers Orange Fury?
Would you paint the drums? If so, how? All Black? Black and Orange?

All Opinions appciated...

That is a nice, clean setup . Is the other side spliced into something or connected to one of the usb ports?

I replaced the Honda OEM stereo in my 16' with a Pioneer with CarPlay. First thing I did was get rid of that OEM stereo! Anyway. I have the USB hooked to the stereo via the OEM plug. I removed the HDMI cable(don't need it, since the Pioneer is a DVD receiver), so I just sent it through the empty HDMI socket/port next to it, routed it up through the dash, drilled a hole for the cable, then secured it to the back of the insert so it wouldn't slip through, or hang out. I have it the perfect length to reach the phone. I drilled the hole big enough so I could do like I did in the picture. Worked out well. I couldn't wait for that holder to come in!!!

I've never had that problem (three Fits), but I would try some silicone sealant around the lens. Do you know how the water is getting in? From what I recall, the bulb is replaced from the bottom. Maybe the gasket down there is no good.
