An actual knob would still be even better, which every review does accurately state.

Of course actual button is better. Pop up volume bar on actual screen is much more responsive compared to fixed volume bar. Every reviewer seems to be not aware of swiping on this popup volume bar. I have seen lot of them complaining about responsiveness of fixed volume bar.

I'm glad there is no volume knob. The dash is nice and uncluttered. I really have not had an issue tapping the screen to raise the volume.

Maybe it is because my volume only goes to 11.

I liked how they showed the view through the car with the magic seats up. This candid review from CNET user tlpina made me chuckle:

"I've owned a 2011 Honda Fit and it was the WORST CAR I've ever owned.

First, it came with a bent rear suspension, which was not independent and Honda REFUSED to address the issue. It was so badly bent that within 8k miles, my right back tire showed signs of wear on the inside.

Second, the materials were so cheap that dings and cracks were a given. If you farted while in the car, there would be a fart ding.

And the final straw was when I was driving in the rain, passed through a puddle(One of those heavy rain puddles that water splashes everywhere) and the front bumper just Popped Off... Nothing broken, no crashes... It just came off the hinges... So much so that when I took it to the body shop, the guy said it was " Quite Common" and just popped it back in...
For those reasons, I will never own another HONDA and if I get one for free, I will trade it in immediately.

Our GD/GE internet warrior is not going to be happy. He is going to find(in Taken style) cnet candid user tlpina.

I don't know - can anyone confirm that the potential for fart dings has been removed from the 3rd gen cars? If not, I'm not impressed.

Don't forget you can scroll/swipe the volume from the dimmed home button to the dimmed menu button to quickly raise our lower the volume.

Actually after having difficulty with the touch screen being non responsive for me, I do prefer having both knobs and touch screen for those that like them.

I have never even used the volume scroll bar on the touch screen, the volume control on the steering wheel is much more convenient. I'll have to play with that just to check it out.

Why don't any of them ever show the controls on the steering wheel?

Steering wheel has lot of controls including volume.None of the reviewer are showing all those controls. They are not even familiar with increasing volume by swiping on bigger volume bar on actual screen rather fixed volume bar to the side of screen.
I actually find cars.com review to be in line with my experience so far with respect to direct steering response and not so planted like big cars during hard/fast turns.
