Hill Start Assist feature

I was curious about the new FIT and was just wondering of the Hill Start assist feature and if it can be disabled.
I know Honda has it pretty much all of their vehicles. Many other brands have it too. Sometimes it can be disabled, sometimes it can't.

Can it be disabled in the FIT? My current vehicle I own has the Hill Start assist feature. In my vehicle , it can be disabled but only if equipt with the manual transmission. Is the FIT similar?

hill assist cannot be disabled via end user controls. if you disable the stability control, hill start goes with it...

to answer the next question, i have not found a "good" way to disable stability control yet. only basic "unplug this connector so the car can get me home" disabling so far.

Page 333 of the Owners Manual tells you how and when to use the VSAŽ OFF Button.

I do not know if this disables Hill Start Assist.

Note for those who worry about strange sounds: You may hear a motor sound coming from the engine compartment while system checks are being performed immediately after starting the engine or while driving. This is normal.

the VSA button does not disable hill start. also, VSA comes back on once you shift to second gear on 6mt equipped cars. unsure about CVT, but i would imagine the programming is similiar.
