Cupholder light bulb?
Hi all,
Is the little light above the dual cupholder area (in front of the shifter) the same size/type as the map & dome lights?
I want to replace all my interior lights to LED and I have no idea what I'm looking for as I haven't done this before, the manual just lists '8W.' My apologies - I'm definitely a noob with this kind of stuff and I'm looking to get something off eBay if possible so if anyone has done this yet please let me know what kind of bulbs to look for!
I've checked through a couple of illumination threads already but I don't know if the same bulbs apply to the GKs.
Thanks in advance!

You mean you Canadians have a light above the cupholders? We don't have that one down here.
That said, I replaced all of my interior and license plate lights with two styles of LEDs. All of the interior lamps in the GK I've found take the same style of wedge based bulb-called a 194 or 168 style.
For the map lights and license lights, I used these:
Amazon.com: Cutequeen 10PCS LED Car Lights Bulb White T10 2835 4-SMD 80 Lumens 194 168 (pack of 10): Automotive
For the dome and trunk light, I used these:
Amazon.com : Generic 2014 Newest, 4th Generation, 20pcs, W5w 194 168 2825 T10 Wedge 5-smd 5050 White High Power Car Led Lights Bulb, brighter, green Energy, Lower Heat, Eco-friendly, better Quality, longer Life : Car Electronics
I suspect one or the other will work for you. There are literally thousands of similar LEDs on EBay.

The GD had them as well. Not sure about the GE
Andre do you know if these bulbs will fit that area?
Well, I be hornswoggled, I never noticed the light, but it's there.

Here's a picture of mine:

Kelly, I took apart that part of the dash where the USB and HDMI is and its very difficult to get to where that bulb is without completely ripping out most of the dash. I can't even see what type of bulb it is, but it looks (in my opinion) that it might be a different bulb. I can say for sure that the bulb there is a halogen bulb but I can't see what type/size. I'd love to change it out but it looks to be a somewhat involved project that I'm not up to today lol.
I suppose that could be a possibility. Again, its unbelievably dim. I promise its very easy to miss.
