2015 EXL-NAVI Leather Seat Comfort

Just purchased 2015 EXL-Navi - Modern Steel. The leather drivers seat is like sitting on a brick. No support for lower back and rear end. Anyone else find the seat uncomfortable? Suggestions..?

There are multiple people who have issues with the seats in the FIT- I was about to add my rant about how my back/ neck and shoulders have been killing me recently and the only thing I can think of that's changed is my new car.

I actually sat in it and fine-tuned the height as well as the angle and proximity to the steering wheel today for a good 15 minutes and it feels much better- I was way too high up and it was throwing everything off, especially with the 6-speed. I'm hopeful that I solved the issue and the pain and stiffness will stop.

Good luck- I'm sure others will chime in and send you a link to the thread that was already started.

Mine is just fine. Guess we are all different and some will have no issues and others will have some.

Thanks for your replies. I'll certainly try giving the seat an adjustment...again. I'm liking the rest of the car....but I guess you cant expect much from heated leather seats in a 21K car.

Was your previous car an American make? Their seats are usually made a bit cushier. If you've never owned a Japanese model, the harder seats will take a little while to adjust to (especially in a subcompact).

I did drive an American car previously to the FIT. In the past I drove a Civic 187K miles, and Acura RSX and TSX close 80K combined. No issues. The seat in the fit doesn't offer any lower back support by the tail bone and seat. I guess I'm now in the market for specialized type of seat cushion/back support device. Bummer. I found the previous forum strand on this issue and it seems I am not alone.

I found a Honda lumbar cushion on Amazon: might be worth a try.

Carrier.....Thanks so much for the recommendation! I the price too! Some of the support cushions I've seen are really expensive. I'm trying the rolled up towel trick now. It seems to make a bit of a difference. May have to go with a bigger towel or try the Honda support cushion for $15. Thanks again. Otherwise, I'm liking the car. Still driving on the dealer gas that came with the car last week!

Let us know what you end up going with and how it works out for you, both in terms of comfort and aesthetics.

Not sure this fits with this thread but, what are everyone's opinions as to the warmth of the heated seats?

Ive had 10 hondas in 30 years (Civics/Accords/CR-Vs and Pilots) and the FIT seat (EX-L) is the first Honda seat that is relatively uncomfortable for me. Its no so much the hardness as the complete lack of lumbar support. For an hour its not so bad but anything approaching 2 hrs and I get quite uncomfortable. Been trying different heights, distances etc for the last 20,000 miles and just cant find the sweet spot.

could be me getting old but my other cars current and past were not this uncomfortable

I think it it ships internationally I would buy it and come with the review if not I will wait until I could go to the states.

I have found my 2016 ex-l's seats to be significantly more comfortable than my traded in 2005 hyundai santa fe. While lumbar support is non-existent, the Fit's bolsters securely hold me in place. With the santa fe, my torso was unsupported despite there being a lumbar lever, and I had to use a back brace on long trips. I don't have any pre-existing back problems.

I agree. The terrific lumbar support in my Fit really makes 12 hour long trips super comfortable.
