I am sure this is in the manual but I have not looked yet.

I was talking to my father the other day and he is hard of hearing. It made me wonder is the pickup mic the phone or the radio when I am using the phone hands free? I assume the radio and that is where I generally shout when I talk to him but I picked up the phone and he said he could hear me better?

I am pretty sure the manual points out mics (two of them) on the radio. Well...at least for the EX

 

It definitely uses the mic(s) on the car, however, I'm not sure if it doesn't also use the phone's mic. I never really thought about it but if your father hears you better, there may be something to that. My phone is always in my pocket but now I'm wondering, when you're on a call, does your phone light up/turn on, I bet it does.
