'19 Fit - 10-15 minutes to connect bluetooth

Hello,

I've had my '19 Fit for about 2 months now and while I like the car a lot I'm having a small issue with the bluetooth connecting to my phone.

I have a Galaxy S9 and when I get in the Fit in the morning it will take anywhere from 15-30 minutes before it will connect to my phone. After connecting to the phone if I stop and turn off the car but start up the car again within approximately 30-60 minutes then the car immediately syncs with the phone. After about 2+ hours with the car off it takes the aforementioned 15-30 minutes to sync.

I've tried resetting the radio to default settings. Unlearning the phone from the radio and relearning it. Forcing my phone to scan for bluetooth connections. Changed sources on the radio away from bluetooth back to bluetooth. All to no avail.

Hoping someone has a suggestion here.

Thanks!

I've had mixed results with the Android Auto with a week of it working great and then spotty results with little to no luck now.

This could be due to the battery case on my phone or the vagaries of USB-C cables but I'm doing fine using it over bluetooth, once the phone actually connects.
