Wheel discoloration on EX, anyone else?

Hi all. My 2015 EX has a tick over 2000 miles on it, purchased 3/26/15. I washed it for the first time tonight and noticed some discoloration near the center cap on all four wheels. Here's one of them:

I used the same car wash stuff on the wheels as the rest of the car, nothing harsher. The brake dust on the front wheels came off easily, then I noticed the trouble. You can sort of feel a different texture where it's discolored, but not enough to catch with your fingernail.

The dealership had added some ~$600 paint/something protection package on the lot, no idea what that actually entails. Car had fresh wax on it when I bought it, that much was obvious. I do not know if the wheels had been treated with anything.

I haven't tried a polish or cutting wax to see if it's a surface thing - I'd like to hear if anyone else has seen issues in the finish on their EX wheels before I pursue it further.

Thanks for the info. You just had one wheel with this issue? All four of mine show discoloration. I'm also curious to know if your car had any dealer-added paint/finish applications done.

Makes sense. I noticed it on one of the center caps, too. Any thoughts on what product to use on them?
