Got higher mileage on your 3rd gen CVT?
Got higher mileage on your 3rd gen CVT?
Just wondering how your cvt is doing at higher mileage?
I've got 30K highway miles on mine, and just changed the fluid.
No problems at all with anything. No clunks, jerking or problems with it.
I've seen 51 mpg, and if I hyper mile I usually get 48 mpg on 300 mile trips.
How about you- how many miles, service done, or any comments?

30k service
The Reno NV. dealer wanted $500 to do the 30k service. I've been changing my filters and oil, and I didn't want to pay $500. I asked them to tell me what they'd do at 30k and the only thing that seemed important to me was the cvt fluid change. I paid them $100 to change that only.
I do not know what is officially required for the 30k service. I've heard others here say that is too early for the cvt fluid change.
I do all hwy miles and my oil life goes to 15% around 8k miles.
I order oil filters, engine air and cabin air filters from hondapartscheap.com
Just about burned through the tires. Love the Fit, and appreciate all the good info on this list. Thanks guys!

I have a manual, not the CVT, but I don't understand why a lot of people on this board are worried about the long term reliability of the CVT? You can bet Honda has put that transmission through ten times more abuse than anyone making payments on one will. Again, I don't have a CVT and probably never will, but if I did, I wouldn't be worried about it not lasting the life of the car if it's properly maintained. IMO.
