What tint do I need?

In the past, I have never considered material of tinting, but the tint guy here made a big deal about ceramic tine vs. metal tint and interference with bluetooth, etc.
I'm curious, is it really worth the extra money to get the ceramic vs. metal base tint?

I just got mine tinted 48 hours ago with Llumar ATR 30% all around, wish i would have gotten 20% in back windows now, but still very nice (first tint). The metallic tint I got has not caused any issues with my phone or radio, and the salesman said that his wife has the same in her car and that there were no issues. I hear it might be worse for cars that have the antennae on the back window, and for satellite radio/GPS. I paid 250 for mine, and it has made a huge difference in cabin temp. Feels way better. So I guess what I'm saying is either would likely be fine and only do it if the money is worth it to you. I would like ceramic, but it was 400-500 here in Houston. I really like the LLumar ATR 30 I got, high visibility, good heat rejection, and enhanced privacy.

I'll be getting 15% in front and 30% in rear.
Llumar is $160.
Ceramic is $260 (better heat reduction). They also have a metal base that's the same heat reduction as the ceramic that is $190. The guy said the difference between the two is the lack of interference and he said the ceramic would hold up longer.
I'll definitely shell out $190 for the extra heat reduction, but I just wasn't sure if the ceramic base was worth it enough for the another $70 on that.

They also offer this clear stuff you put over the entire front glass that yields 10-15% glare reduction and 40% heat reduction. Has anyone ever used this?

Each state has a set of rules on window tinting. Tennessee has a maximum of 35% on the front seat area, no tinting the windshield, 20% rear seats and back window (as best as I remember). 35% from the windshield back is a good combo, consistent. Most cops won't object, really dark stuff makes them nervous. State trooper really got ticked with my son's Toyota p/u with 35%. YMMV.

Air 80 clear front tint? It does work to significantly reduce heat through the windshield but lots of reports on the film creating distortions and halo's during twilight and night time driving, especially with highly raked windshields. I'd skip it unless you want to do a very expensive experiment.
